While working on the painting above and the painting below The Higher Realm Consultations I experienced two spontaneous metal bendings. One with my paint brush after pulling it away from the painting and my palette knife, the metal part of the handle, not the thin flimsy knife, when mixing paints on a wax paper. The metal just seemed to melt and bend then instantly harden. There were no creases in either case like with a bent cardboard tube.

This is part of a pair (see Morning Glory below). Several years ago they were hanging in my bedroom. I was frightened by something, I don’t recall now what it was. When I went to bed, they clearly conveyed to me, “Don’t worry, we are looking out for you.” Then I fell into a peaceful and restful night’s sleep. This sort of thing, has happed with 2 other paintings of mine.

Ole! I painted this in my 20s. I’ve since become a vegetarian largely due to sympathy towards animals and would not paint a picador and bull. The lances on the bull’s neck are intended to weaken the bull’s muscles so that it keeps its head down during the entertainment.
